Hi my name is Andy Sore. With over 40 years of IT experience in both the private and public sector,
I've had the opportunity to work with everything from cybersecurity to data networking.
Leveraging this expertise. I've developed a unique and cost-effective web hosting
solution specifically designed for small businesses and sole traders - a market that the big players often
ignore.
As a small business with the right skills, I can leverage a number of open-source
technologies and enterprise-class solutions that are very cost-effective, with introductory
plans for low-volume users.
Think of what I offer as the modern internet enabled equivalent of an advert on a card for your
business placed in the local shop window. I'll handle the technical side of setting this up allowing
you to focus on your core business
For a new web site with your business emails forwarding to your personal
account from £10 a month - Contact Me
What I offer
My solution is built on enterprise-grade technology and best practices but with very low operating
costs, designed presicely for small businesses and sole traders.
Effortless Online Presence: Establish a simple, and reliable web presence for
your business.
Tailored to Your Brand: Your chosen branding, straplines, and color schemes
are seamlessly integrated.
Professional Email Addresses & Smart Forwarding: Get secure email addresses
(like [email protected])
perfectly matching your business domain that you can use on your signage and stationary. All
incoming messages are conveniently forwarded straight to your existing personal inbox, so you
won't miss a thing.
Hassle-Free Content Updates: Enjoy four complimentary content update windows
annually. Just send me your revised content, and I'll handle the technical updates.
Modern Technology Foundation: Benefit from a web solution built with services
focused on performance, reliability, essential web security and authenticated email.
Built Securely from the Ground Up: I proactively harden my computers, keep
software upgraded, and scan for and resolve security vulnerabilities, helping to ensure your web
site is protected.
Exceptional Reliability: With minimal components, there's a lot less to go
wrong. If the single board computer (SBC) is running; from a hardware point of view your site
is live and accessible.
Robust Resilience: I maintain multiple SBCs, meaning if one encounters an
issue, I can reboot from another, minimising any potential downtime.
Power Supply Flexibility: In the event of a power outage, I can switch my
low-power SBCs to battery backup, keeping your site downtime to a minimum.
Always Connected: Should my primary Internet Service Provider fail, I can
re-establish connectivity via a 4G/5G mobile network, maintaining your online presence.
High Availability (99.9%): Thanks to the above measures, I can provide 99.9%
availability for your website - that's less than nine hours of downtime per year!
Raspberry Pi 4 Model B - My chosen hardware for
reliable web hosting
What I Don't Offer (and why)
Enterprise Scalability: My specialised service is intentionally designed
to be cost-effective and highly personalised for sole traders and small businesses.
Therefore, I do not cater to the complex, large-scale requirements of medium or enterprise
customers.
PCI Compliance Management: To maintain a streamlined and secure service
focused purely on web presence, I do not process, store, or transmit any credit card data,
thereby avoiding PCI DSS compliance requirements. This helps keep your costs down and
simplifies your operational security.
Extensive GDPR Management: My service is structured to minimise data
collection and processing. While I adhere to core GDPR principles, this model allows me to
keep your (and my) General Data Protection Regulation compliance burden light and
straightforward.
Personal Data Storage: Prioritising privacy and security, my system is
designed from the ground up to minimise data collection. Therefore, I do not store any
personal data on your behalf.
Frequent or Complex Design Edits: To ensure my services remain affordable
and efficient, I offer four inclusive content update windows per year. Extensive or intricate
design changes beyond these are outside the scope of this service.
